This is so well-done, Joelle! I love this: “Maybe that’s a home full of babies, or maybe it’s a home full of puppies.” So true — everyone seeks their joy in different ways. Neither is better nor worse. Also, I’ve heard that once you start thinking about something — say, if you wanted a red car — you’d see them everywhere! It’s a cognitive trick. Still, it’s hard.
